As part of our mission to bring our clients the best treatments and products in the world we are proud to offer the best Eyelash Extensions, in the world, Xtreme Lashes®.  Please be aware, not all lashes are the same, neither are the technicians.  At Beau Visage, we ensure our technicians are always up-to-speed and they are constantly monitored by our advanced technician.  You would not believe some of the horror stories we could tell, and some of the sights we are confronted with.  We are often asked if we can correct bad application.  Unfortunately, it is often too late, the damage had been done, the natural lashes have been damaged and the only fix is to wait till they grow back.  One word of advice, do your homework, get recommendations, check for certification and insurance, anybody who is providing Xtreme Lashes® will be listed on the Xtreme Lashes® website.  Semi-permanent lashes will not damage your natural lashes if they are applied correctly.

Why do I need an Xtreme Lash consultation?
At Beau Visage, it is  policy to conduct a full consultation prior to the initial lash application with us.  There is no exception to this, and it is carried out in your own interest.  Consultations are in place to identify any possible allergies and/or reactions.  Consultations carried out for conversions purpose is also to identify:
  • The length of the appointment required and give costing
  • If there is any lash damage caused by previous applications.
  • If the application of the lashes is of Beau Visage stanards.
  • If the lashes applied are "Xtreme".  If not, to explain how long we feel it will take before you will get the full benefit of Xtreme extensions.
  • If we would recommend the removal of existing lashes, prior to a new set.

The consultation takes between 20 - 30 mins an is charged at £15.00.

If you are coming to Beau Visage for your fill-in because your current lash technician is unavailable, unfortunately you will still require a consultation. 

 

Please also note that 24hrs is required between consultation and application.

What do I do if I want Lash Extensions removed?
As the natural lashes shed, Xtreme Lashes® Lash Extensions will shed with them. However, if necessary, Xtreme Lashes® Lash Extensions can be professionally removed by a Lash Stylist using our specially formulated adhesive remover. The removal process normally takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes for a full set. Never try to remove Lash Extensions on your own. Damage can be caused by pulling the extensions off with the natural lash, removing the natural lash before it is ready to shed.
Can I apply mascara to Xtreme Lashes® Lash Extensions?

One of the main advantages of Xtreme Lashes® Lash Extensions is that you never need mascara again. However, if you must have the mascara-look, only water-based mascara can be used. You can purchase one of our specially formulated Xtreme Lashes® Lash Extensions mascaras from your local Xtreme Lashes® Lash Extensions Stylist or contact our customer service department at 1.877.BIG.LASH for purchasing information. DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATERPROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara along with any type of oil-based mascara will dissolve the adhesive and cause your Xtreme Lashes® Lash Extensions to fall off. If you choose wear a water-based mascara, apply it on the tips only.

How do I take care of Xtreme Lash Extensions?
Xtreme Lashes® Lash Extensions are easy to maintain, the first twenty-four hours are crucial for a strong bond. You should keep your lashes dry and avoid touching them. After twenty-four hours, care is fairly simple: avoid oil based products, cleanse your lashes regularly and be gentle with the lashes. They are resistant to water, sweat and tears.
Your Lash Stylist should provide you with easy After Care Instructions following your procedure. In general, to maintain your new look and extend the life of your lashes, follow these simple guidelines:
  • For the first 24 hours after application the lashes should not be exposed to water or steam to allow the adhesive time to fully bond. We recommend avoiding swimming and the spa for 48 hours after lash application for best results.
  • Be gentle with your eyelashes; do not pull on the extensions or rub the eyes excessively.
  • Avoid the use of oil-based products on or around the eyelashes and do not use waterproof mascara. Water-based mascara and water-based mascara remover may be used if desired. Apply the mascara sparingly and remove it gently with a water-based eye makeup remover. Ask your Xtreme Lashes® Lash Extensions Stylist about the products she carries which are specially formulated for Lash Extensions

We recommend getting a touch up every two to four weeks to maintain maximum fullness of your Xtreme Lashes® Lash Extensions.

Can I swim, shower and exercise wearing Lash Extensions?
You can enjoy these eyelashes with little need to adjust your lifestyle. Providing you follow the simple after care instructions and are not excessively exposed to heat or moisture, they will last through the natural lash life cycle and fall off with the natural lash, not before. You can swim, shower and spa as usual so long as these activities are not engaged in excessively. (Please do not swim or spa for 48 hours after the procedure to allow the adhesive to fully bond.)

 

A competitive swimmer who is constantly in the chlorinated water may lose some lashes earlier than the average person as may someone who gets very frequent facials (weekly) or goes into the steam room daily. Doing an above average level of activities related to heat or constant water exposure may weaken the adhesive bond, causing some early lash extension loss.

How should I prepare for my lash application?
  • To maximize your time with your lash stylist, remove all make-up in your eye area, including foundation, eye-liner, eye shadow, mascara, eye creams, and eye serums.
  • Clean your lashes gently but thoroughly to remove any residual oils or mascara.
  • Shower and wash your hair.
  • If you are a contact lens wearer, wear your glasses to your appointment.
  • Do not curl your lashes the day of your appointment.
  • Do not apply heavy creams, lotions, or oils to your face in the 48 hours before your appointment.
  • Do not tint or perm your lashes in the 48 hours before your appointment.
  • Talk to us if you have recently received any irritating cosmetic treatments (such as skin resurfacing procedures, chemical peels, eyebrow waxing, laser treatments, permanent make-up application, etc.) in your eye area.
  • Consult your doctor before your appointment if you are pregnant, are taking medication, suffer from any medical conditions or allergies, or are recovering from any medical procedure.
