Overlays

If you have natural nails you are happy with them, then applying a gel overlay will give them added strength without adding length.  Beau Visage can provide Overlays to your nails from £22.00

Extensions

If you bite your nails, or they are weak, or just won’t grow to the length you would like, then having extensions could give you the beautiful nails you desire. Extensions can be added as 'tips' or built and sculptured onto your existing nail. Beau Visage offer both Acrylic and Gel ehancements.

Acrylic Nail EnhancementsAcrylic Nails

Acrylic nails are a two-part system of liquid and powder and can be either sculptured or tip and overlay.  This type of product can be applied with one colour of acrylic, pink and white acrylic for a permanent French look, or can be applied with coloured acrylic, glitter acrylic or in any combination.  We can provide Acrylic nails from £28.00

Gel Nails

Gel acrylic is a one-part system consisting of the application of a  thick viscosity gel acrylic.  Gel is normally 'cured' under a UV light.  Even though Gel Nails are actually acrylic, they apply and wear differently. Your therapist will explain the difference and benefits of each type of enhancement, and help you choose the right one for you.  We can provide Gel nails from £32.00

Gems, and Nail Art

We offer a wide range of Nail Art, such as Gems, Transfers, Glitter top coat or hand painted designs using acrylic paints. We use various brushes and implements to give the desired look.  We also offer the service on Toe Nails  as a perfect end to a pedicure.

Call in to the Salon to talk about our designs.  Gems from £0.50 and nail art from £2.50

Infilling

An Infill is done every two to three weeks where we take down the length, reshape the nail where necessary, then smooth away the ridge where the nail has grown away from the cuticle and fill in the growth to suit your nail type. (Please note on an infill we do not normally reapply the tips, this is done on a rebalance) Please allow at least an hour for an infill -  £22.00

Rebalance

A Rebalance as the name suggest is a total restoration of your nail extensions, this procedure is essential to have every four weeks. We firstly take the length down and reshape the free edge (end of nail) and reshape and balance the top of the nails   We re-apply a fresh new Acrylic or Gel overlay to suit your nail type.  New colour or art can be applied, allowing you to have  a different look at each rebalance. Please allow up to an hour and half for a rebalance. - £31.00

Repairs

If you should damage any of your nails we can restore them to perfection from - £4.50

Choosing a Nail Shape

One of the things to consider is the shape of the free edge. When choosing a nail shape, you should pick one that enhances the shape of your finger. Take a moment to study your hand, analysing the finger length and thickness, hand size, and cuticle shape.

Keep in mind these suggestions:  Petite hands and fingers look best with almond-shaped nails. Short and stocky fingers look best with squoval-shaped nails. Heavyset hands look best with squared-off ends. This is also true for fingers with wide nail beds (the main body of the nail that defines its shape). A rule of thumb is to match the shape of the free edge to that of the cuticle (the protective layer of skin at the bottom of the nail). If the cuticle is oval, go with that shape; if square, make the nail more squoval.  In the end though, the nail shape is your choice.

Maintenance of Enhancements
  • Treat your nails as jewels, not tools! Nails that are too long for your lifestyle and activity level result in service breakdown.
  • If your nails become too long between appointments, shorten the length with a 240-grit file like the Kanga or Koala.
  • Wear gloves when performing household chores, working in the garden, or whenever you use cleaning solutions of any kind.
  • Take extra care when opening car doors, cupboards, dishwashers, ring pulls on cans, etc, as these are the worst offenders when it comes to catching a nail.
  • Make and keep bi-weekly rebalance appointments. Most enhancements will need to be rebalanced every two weeks. This appointment is where the free edge length can be taken down and the area at the back of the nail where the enhancement that has grown out is “filled” in with product.
  • Use a good quality cuticle oil such as Creative's Solar Oil every day. This will keep your enhancements flexible, so should you accidentally break one, it will cause minimum damage to your natural nail. It also promotes healthy nail growth. Only use 'non-acetone' nail polish remover. Acetone based removers will break down your nail enhancements.
Enhancement Removal

Should you decide to remove your enhancements, please refrain from picking or tearing them off, as this can damage your natural nail plate. Professional removal is strongly recommended.
