Competition winner

A big thank you to all who took part in our January's Name The Teddy Competition. for a Matis facial. We are pleased to announce the lucky winner randomly chosen by the computer is Jenny Malone with Fred, congratulations Jen we look forward to seeing you in the salon.

February's competition

We had some great names sent in last month, so we thought we would keep the same theme, the only difference is the teddy, we have changed it. so, this month Name the Teddy ..... is for a chance to be our Xtreme Lashes Model. This is a free to enter competition, conditions apply.

You all must have a favourite name, or maybe even remember the name of your childhood Teddy. Simply click teddy, log-in on our website and go to the competition page. Good luck!

Xtreme lashes open

Sometime in March/April we will be holding an Extreme Lashes Open Evening. This is your chance to come along and watch the lashes being applied. Our fully qualified and Xtreme certified lash technicians will be on hand to answer any questions or concerns you may have. It's amazing watching the girls at work, how they isolate an individual lash and apply an extension is mesmerising. The average person has between 80 – 120 lashes applied to each eye. There will be special deals only available on the evening. You can register your interest on line or by calling the salon. Places for the evening will be limited and on a first come first served basis.

Beauty Tips

Hand Treatment

Warm a cup of milk in the microwave for thirty seconds (or until warm, but comfortable to the touch). Soak your hands for five minutes to strengthen nails and hydrate skin. Milk is loaded with lactic acid, a natural alpha hydroxy acid that gently exfoliates dead skin.

Different Eyeliner Applications

Close-Set Eyes:
Line outer third of upper lids with gray,brown, or black liner. Smudge gently. Use a lighter liner on the inner eye to widen the space between eyes.

Small Eyes:
Draw a dark line gradually thickening at outer edge of the eye. Use a light coloured pencil (gold, silver, white) and draw under lower lash.

Deep-Set Eyes:
Line upper lash line with pale, shimmery liner. Then line outer edge of lower lash with a soft, neutral shade (gray or taupe). This will create the illusion of a less heavy lid.

Drooping Eyes:
Line outer third of eye very close to lashes, carefully sweeping the liner up at the corner of the eye.

Recycle Your Bra

Were you aware that there was somebody out there wanting your old bras? A local firm in Hyde are wanting just that, donations are made to charity so it can't be bad for something we would all just chuck in the bin. Why not give them your support. Click the image to read more!

I feel that each donation is like jumping another hurdle. It brings preventing cancer closer to the finishing line.

New style gift/savings

We now have our new style gift/savings cards in the salon. They are not just a gift card, they can also be used to save for more expensive treatments. How do they work: The card is purchased with a given value say £20.00, the recipient can then either spend this value in the salon, or if they choose to, they can top it up.

There is even a website available where you can log-on and check your balance.

If you already have a card and a birthday or Christmas is coming up, you could simply put Beau Visage on you wish list along with your unique card number and let others do the topping up for you. Another possibility is to purchase the card over the phone, let us know who the gift is for and we can send it direct to them recorded mail. Call the salon for more details.
